Asking prices are not sales

A listing price tells you what a seller hopes to get. A completed sale tells you what a buyer actually paid. We treat these as different kinds of evidence and never present an asking price as a value.

What a price statement must include

Whenever we show pricing evidence, we state:

• the currency (USD unless stated otherwise);
• the source of the sales;
• the time window the sales fall in;
• the number of sales we looked at;
• whether shipping, fees, or buyer premiums are included in the figures;
• the date the figures were last checked.

If we cannot state these, we say insufficient verified data rather than give a number.

Variants are not interchangeable

A card's value depends on its exact identity: set, card number, language, printing (for example first edition, unlimited, shadowless), and variant (holo, reverse holo, promo). We do not average across variants, and we do not mix raw and graded results into one figure.

Raw and graded evidence are kept separate

Raw cards are described by condition; graded cards by grading company and grade. Sales of a PSA 10 say nothing directly about a raw copy, and we do not treat every grade as a separate market unless we have evidence for it.

"Live" means something specific

We do not describe any data as live unless it is refreshed on a defined schedule that we state. Otherwise we show the date it was last checked.

Estimates and calculators

Calculations on RadarRabbit use the numbers you enter. They are arithmetic on your assumptions, not forecasts. Documented trades we publish show purchase price, direct costs, sale proceeds, holding period, and the resulting profit or loss, and identify any excluded overhead and taxes. Successful examples are not representative returns.

Limits

Sold-listing data can include cancelled or unpaid transactions, mislabelled variants, and shill activity. Small samples are noisy. Prices for the same card can differ by marketplace and by country. We flag these limitations where they matter.
