Research and evidence

Every guide starts with a specific collector question. We answer it from first-hand experience, primary sources such as grading-company documentation and marketplace policies, and completed-sale evidence we have looked at ourselves. Important factual claims carry a source, listed at the end of the article. Where a claim rests on our own observation, we say so.

Review

Content moves through five states: draft, in review, approved, published, archived. Nothing reaches the public site until a named reviewer has checked it. Drafts produced with AI assistance are treated exactly like any other draft: they are reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a person before they can be approved, and they never publish automatically.

Authors and reviewers

Bylines name real people. Author pages describe each person's relevant experience. We do not use invented authors or stock personas.

Dates and updates

Each article shows its publication date and, when its substance has changed, an update date. We do not refresh dates for cosmetic edits. Substantive changes are noted in the article.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the correction in the article. Send corrections to [email protected] or through the contact page.

Money and conflicts

When we own, are selling, receive compensation for, or otherwise have an interest in the subject of an article, the article carries a disclosure at the top. Sponsored content, if we ever run it, will be labelled as such and kept separate from editorial. We do not accept payment for coverage or for links.

What we will not publish

• Price predictions or "investment" recommendations.
• Market data, sales, or charts we cannot substantiate.
• Reviews, ratings, or testimonials we did not receive from real people.
• Card descriptions copied from other websites.
